D92 Korean BBQ

February 11, 2019

I don't know about you, but Korean barbecue holds a special place in my heart, and last week I found myself giving in to my cravings when I visited D92 Korean BBQ.

Because Korean barbecue restaurants can often times be a bit pricey, I find the best line of attack to be- going in with a healthy appetite and taking full advantage of whatever "all you can eat" combos offered. This way, you are able to try a decent variety of proteins with your unlimited sides, you don't have to worry about ordering too little for your table, and you're guaranteed to have a full belly without emptying your wallet!

Now if you decide to get a little fancy and you rather explore other options on the menu because the proteins offered under the "all you can eat" combos are not to your liking, then that's also totally fine (you do you boo!), be the à la carte enthusiast that you were born to be.

When visiting D92 Korean BBQ, I opted for their All You Can Eat option A*, which included the following proteins:
Bulgogi (my personal favourite), Pork Belly, Marinated Pork Belly (Gochujang, Wine & Soybean), Marinated Pork Neck, & Chicken (Gochujang & Soy sauce).

Banchan (small side dishes) selection:
Pickled Daikon (my absolute favourite), Kimchi, Macaroni Salad, Spicy Tofu, Ddangkong Jorim- Soy Braised Peanuts, Soybean Sprouts, Salad (w/ Ssamjang dipping sauce), & a grill ring packed with mushrooms, eggs, and cheesy corn with a bit of mayo.

BBQ Condiments:
Seasoned soy sauce, soybean paste, sesame oil with salt & pepper.

Something that set D92 Korean BBQ aside from other Korean barbecue restaurants I have been to, is the fact that I did not have to physically cook anything. The servers there take care of everything for you! I had no idea this was the case prior to visiting the restaurant, but it was a welcomed surprise.

Our server was also extremely kind and was happy to offer suggestions on banchan selections that paired well with our protein choices; all of which I was more than delighted to receive because he knew exactly what he was talking about. Every recommendation he made worked to enhance the flavours in each bite!

I think overall, I was more than happy with my first time experience at D92. The food was fantastic and the service was even better, all while still being pretty reasonably priced. For what it's worth, I think it is safe to say that will definitely be back at this restaurant the next time I have a Korean barbecue craving!
