Hi my angels! So not gonna lie, today's look made me go "YIKES!!" when I took a good look at myself, but regardless, I gave it my best effort. I drew inspiration from the obviously flawless Rihanna, who if you didn't already know, dropped her latest music video with Dj Khaled & Bryson Tiller a few days ago. So following the release of Wild Thoughts, I had a wild thought of my own- why not try to re-create one of RiRi's looks from the music video.
I must have rewatched this video maybe 5 times, constantly pausing and rewinding, trying to catch the best angle of this makeup look. After multiple failed attempts, I finally nailed at least 4 reference-worthy screenshots, and now here we are! I've gone on and attempted to do a look quite similar to RiRi's blue/teal-maybe-at-times smokey eyes with a bold fiery red lip (not a combo I would ever do, but she pulls it off, as usual).
This look was obviously quite the way out of my comfort zone because I just don't think I can pull off such a bold lip with already dramatic cool-toned eyes, but here we are. While I do feel as though I'm possibly channeling Bozo more than I am Rihanna, I did go ahead and take the time to film a tutorial. So despite how ridiculous I may look, if any of you are interested in trying your hand at re-creating the look, maybe I can be of some assistance.
